Cassandra Greenberg, Director of Development

Cassie has spent the last ten years in fundraising and nonprofit management, primarily working in the arts and culture world. She has held full-time leadership roles with The Wilma Theater, Philadelphia Regional Arts Consortium, and McCarter Theater Center, building long-term fundraising and management strategies that draw upon her experiences with Philadelphia Theatre Company, Walnut Street Theatre, and others. In these roles, she has had the chance to support and witness the power of art with some of the country’s most renowned artists. Cassie also works as a consultant to help smaller nonprofits develop their strategic planning and fundraising efforts.

In recent years, Cassie has grown passionate about food systems and the role they play in our lives. She deepened this interest by receiving her M.S in Sustainable Food Systems from Green Mountain College in 2019, where her research focused on local food systems, food entrepreneurship and food sovereignty. She also delved into the food sector through volunteering with Emma’s Torch, a New York nonprofit that empowers refugees through culinary training. She is excited to segue into the food world full-time with Challah for Hunger, applying her past experiences towards this exciting industry. In her spare time, Cassie enjoys cooking, being outdoors, learning about homesteading, and playing with her two daughters.
