Alumni: Giving Back

You can continue to flex your philanthropy muscles through our annual giving circles.

What’s a giving circle? This is a group of people (in our case alumni) who pool their charitable donations and decide together where to allocate their money.

Want to host your own giving circle to support Challah for Hunger? Contact CEO Carly at [email protected] to learn more.

Upcoming: NY Alumni & Friends Giving Circle

When:  September – December 2017 (3 meetings, dates TBD)

Who: Hosted by CfH alum Amanda Winer for fellow alumni and friends.

Goal: Awarding grants to current chapters to help them grow their capacity to engage volunteers and tell CfH’s story.

“I loved the experience of
connecting with like-minded people to discuss what values were important to us and what collective values we wanted to demonstrate through our giving…”

Kate, an alumni and a co-founder of the CfH chapter at University of Virginia. Read  more about her experience leading a giving circle here.

“The Alumni Giving Circle provided a space for continued engagement in philanthropy and advocacy. Just like the chapter experience, the alumni giving circle [is] about seizing great opportunities (in our case, right time and great group of really motivated, interested people) and making it happen.”
