Campus Hunger Project Year One Report

We are proud to share the hard work of our students through the Campus Hunger Project Year One Report.  In this report, we reveal the results of our national research project – our first ever – which investigates hunger and food insecurity on the college campus.

Student leaders on 23 campuses conducted interviews with student affairs professionals and administrators across the country. The results are troubling: 80% of the administrators interviewed by students stated that food insecurity was a problem on their campus. Of these administrators, 65% said there is no official campus-wide policy to address food insecurity.

We’ve already begun working with students and partners on the second year of the Campus Hunger Project.  We will continue to train students to conduct research on this problem and support them as they become advocates for their peers. We are also raising awareness about this problem with our community of alumni, parents, and partners. Stay up to date by subscribing here!
