Challah for Hunger at UMBC works as other chapters, by baking challah and advocating injustices happening in the world. We especially focus on the genocide stricken nations of Myanmar, DR Congo, and Sudan. Over half of our funds are directed to AJWS, and the rest to the Genocide Intervention Network. We are starting this fall our third semester on campus as an organization.
We sell every other week of the month on Wednesdays or Thursdays either on the Campus Breezeway or the Commons main street. Challah cost around $3.00 dollars per loaf.
We are big supporters of S.T.A.N.D on our campus, and are trying to increase cooperation with them for the following semester to increase advocacy on our campus.
