Stanford
The Stanford CfH Chapter began in the winter quarter of 2009 and raised $4000 in only 2 quarters! We are sponsored by the Jewish Students Association, allowing us to donate 100% of our profits. We bake in the Hillel kitchen in the Koret Pavillion building and our challah is strictly Parve. We use a system of regular challah volunteers led by one student "shift leader", as well as having a variety of other service-oriented student groups co-Sponsor a bake and sale. If your group is interested in co-sponsoring and deciding where 50% of the profits are sent, contact emmanuelle.benkoski@gmail.com.
We need volunteers!
We will be baking every Thursday at the Hillel Kitchen. Shifts are:
-Thursday dough making 3-4:30
-Thursday braiding and baking 8-9:30
-Friday set-up 11-11:45
-Friday sell 11:45-1:30
-Friday clean-up 1:30-2
Winter 2010 quarter:
Sign up for a shift by emailing emmanuelle.benkoski@gmail.com by Wednesday of each week.
Come visit our Challah for Hunger table in White Plaza on Fridays from 11:45-1:30. You can buy a delicious loaf of bread (a variety of flavors!) for only $5, learn about the causes we are donating to, learn specifically about Darfur facts and events from members of the STAND group, and make a difference by engaging in acts of advocacy like signing petitions, writing letters, etc.
Feed yourself, feed others with your money, change the world.
